    Opportunities available for involvement by the general public

    Hannah Price, Patient and Public Engagement Manager, (Dover & Thanet Districts), Eastern & Coastal Kent Primary Care Trustwill provide a short overview on the opportunities available for involvement by the general public.

    The future of primary care in the Deal and Walmer areas

    Sheila Pitt, Head of Strategic Commissioning (Dover & Thanet) & Cancer and End of Life Care Commissioning lead, Eastern & Coastal Primary Care Trust, and Dr Richard Browning will give a short presentation on the future of primary care in Deal and Walmer areas.

    7.

    Preventative work possibly leading to local champions later next year

    Nevada Shaw, Health Trainer Co-ordinator for Dover & Thanet, Eastern & Coastal PCT will give some information on the preventative work she is carrying out that may lead to local champions being recruited next year.  

     

    (She will not be part of the table discussions but will be available after the meeting for any questions).

    Telehealth demonstration

    The presenters, including Irene Judd, of Kent County Council’s Telehealth team, will be giving a Telehealth demonstration and will then join the audience for round table discussions (with approximately 20 mins at each table).  This will provide the opportunity for question and discussion in greater depth on the issues and the desires of the people within the Deal and Walmer areas.

    Feedback from the tables by facilitators on what was discussed and if any actions are to be taken away from the meeting.
