Background:
Former remote playing field which has not been used for educational purposes for over 14 years with the site being declared surplus to KCC requirements. Following local plan promotion, the site has been openly marketed to secure best value and we now need to enter into contracts with the selected purchaser.

The Property Sub-Committee considered and endorsed the proposed decision at its meeting on 26 February 2021.
Financial implications: The sale of the property will result in a capital receipt for KCC, which will be used to support the Council’s capital programme and reduce operational property holding costs. The Council has progressed the disposal in accordance with the Council’s best value obligations.
