1.    It was duly proposed and seconded that Mr S Manion be elected as Chairman of the SACRE Conference meeting.

RESOLVED that Mr S Manion be elected Chairman of SACRE

Nominations for Vice-Chairman will be sought at the meeting

1.    It was duly proposed and seconded that Mrs N Younosi be elected as Vice-Chairman of the SACRE.

RESOLVED that Mrs N Younosi be elected Vice-Chairman of SACRE.

RESOLVED that the Membership be noted.

1.    It was noted that at the meeting on 7 March Rabbi Cohen was not part of the meeting during voting.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 7 March were a correct record and that they be signed by the Chairman. 

1.    Ms Smith-Orr gave a presentation to SACRE Members, some of which had been presented by Lat Blaylock to the working party.  The presentation is available here:  The ‘RE Today’ Model Agreed Syllabus   

2.    It was a legal requirement to have a 5 year review of the RE syllabus and Ms Smith-Orr talked Members through the above presentation.

3.    Members thanked Ms Smith-Orr for the huge amount of work that had gone into reviewing the RE syllabus. 

4.    The Kent SACRE agreed that there was no need for any future meetings of the Conference to review and recommend the agreed syllabus for RE. 

RESOLVED that SACRE Members note the report on the agreed syllabus working party.

RESOLVED Members agreed that no future meetings were needed at this stage.
