Right to Light
We the undersigned petition the council to ,following Kent County Council's decision to switch off 70,000 of Kent's street lights between the hours of 12am and 5:30 am, to reinstate our streetlights whilst more detailed consultation together with detailed risk assessments aided by professional bodies are carried out.
The consultation process was fundamentally flawed, therefore this policy was implemented without the prior knowledge or agreement of the residents of Kent. We therefore ask for the streetlights to be reinstated immediately.

sought the advice of the Environment and Transport Cabinet
Committee, should establish the criteria for deciding on a case by
case basis whether all night street lighting should be returned to
a particular place.”
