The replacement of the existing SWIFT/AIS system with a more modern, flexible and configurable system will provide a technology platform to support the delivery of the Kent County Council Adult Social Care Strategy, ‘Your Life, Your Wellbeing’, through the Adults Transformation Programme.

It will support the streamlining of business processes to promote more efficient ways of working and will allow staff to work flexibly from any location in Kent. It will potentially provide a platform to enable social care service providers, clients and their carers to transact digitally with the Authority if they wish to and support integration with Health and the vision and objectives of the STP Digital Workstream.

As Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, I:

a) AGREE to procure a replacement Adult Social Care Case Management ICT system; and

b) DELEGATE authority to the Corporate Director of Adult Social Care and Health, or other nominated officer, to undertake the necessary actions to implement the decision.
