To seek agreement to the making of an order to make the experimental scheme of traffic regulation at Holly Hill permanent.
How the decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives
§ PRoW improve the local environment and encourage healthy leisure and recreational activity which supports the rural economy and contributes to the health and well being of local communities
§ The approach to the management of BOATS is in line with KCC policy and reflects targets for sustainable management established in the Countryside Access Improvement Plan.
Financial Implications:
The cost of this activity has been carefully assessed as part of the assessment of the scheme and are sustainable.
Legal Implications:
The experimental scheme has been in place for 12 months. Its impact has been assessed and found to be successful. If it is to continue in operation it must now be made permanent. Member consideration of representations to the experimental scheme and a Member decision are required before an Order making the scheme permanent may be made.
Equality Implications:
The scheme was subject to an Equalities Impact Assessment. Adjustments were made to the scheme to mitigate the impact on disabled users of the byways.
As Cabinet Member for Community Services I agree to make an Order giving permanent effect to the experimental scheme of traffic at Holly Hill.
