Who and when?
A draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) has been sent out for consultation (5 October to 31 December 2010) to 200+ stakeholders
Who is it necessary to consult?
The Transport Act 2000 as amended places a duty on local transport authorities to consult bus and rail operators, public transport user groups, district councils, the Secretary of State for Transport and any other people they consider appropriate.
Has the matter already been discussed by a Policy, Overview and Scrutiny Committee?:
A report was considered and approved on 14 September 2010 by the EHW Policy, Overview and Scrutiny Committee on a new method for prioritising the LTP budget for integrated schemes. This new method is the key “message” of the draft LTP.
Is the matter referred to in your Business Plan or Medium Term Capital Programme?
Yes – LTP3 is one of the key priorities for the Integrated Strategy and Planning Division
