Consultees
A proposal to update the strategy was discussed by the Adult Social Care and Health Cabinet Committee in July 2014. The Committee agreed the proposal and asked for a special focus to be given to self-harm.
The Cabinet Committee also considered an early draft of the strategy in January 2015 and agreed that it should be used as the basis for a public consultation.
The final proposed strategy was discussed by the Cabinet Committee
at its meeting on 10 July 2015 and was endorsed.
Other
consultation planned or undertaken:
The Strategy has been developed by Public Health in partnership with the Kent and Medway Suicide Prevention Steering Group which contains representatives from KMPT, Kent Police, CCGs, Network Rail, KCC Coroners Team, voluntary support groups, mental health charities and individual carer representatives.
There has also been wider public consultation comprising three different elements;
1. An online survey linked to the draft strategy (January – March 2015)
