The current infrastructure to support the hardware, is end of life and is very costly to run and maintain on an annual basis. Support and maintenance cannot be secured when the current agreement comes to an end as parts are obsolete. Whilst the Council could proceed without support and maintenance this is integral to supporting KCC’s ICT services and there would be a significant business risk to the Council if this was to fail.
