The varying of a contract between the Kent
County Council and Kent Enviropower Ltd for the provision of Waste
Disposal services (“the Allington Contract”) to enable
the following:
• Consolidation of the landfill equivalent payments into the
gate fee, with future indexation for the consolidated sum to be as
per contract (i.e. RPI)
• Reduction of the gate fee for all waste delivered within the
minimum tonnage commitment
• Increasing the minimum tonnage commitment for residual waste
from 300,000 to 310,000 tonnes per annum
• Reducing the minimum tonnage commitment for food waste and
comingled dry recyclate (including glass) to be handled through the
on-site waste transfer from 25,000 to 20,000 tonnes per annum
• Waiving the requirement for a Performance Bond in respect of
this contract
The Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport has agreed to the varying of a contract between the Kent County Council and Kent Enviropower Ltd for the provision of Waste Disposal services as per the recommendations in the Exempt report to Environment and Transport Cabinet Committee on 7 September 2016.
