Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Waste

    Decision status: Recommendations Approved

    Purpose:

Give officers delegated powers to consider objections to public consultations for small traffic schemes when the responses to the consultation is limited in number and non-controversial.

How the decision  relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives:

As part of Driving economic prosperity in BS4K it refers to delivering the priorities set out in our integrated transport strategy Growth Without Gridlock (GWG). Within GWG road safety is stated as a constant priority for central and local government.

Impact/costs and risks of proposed decision:

Allowing officers delegated powers to consider minor objections to traffic schemes will speed up the process of implementing schemes, reduce staff time spent on projects and allow a quicker response to road safety issues.
