Purpose:

To Agree proposal for land transfer to Swale BC agree service equipment for a new Community Hub and the timelines and process that need to follow

 

The proposal directly links to Bold Steps for Kent, including growing the economy, regenerating Sittingbourne and providing a new Gateway/library service in a new fit for purpose building and to support Kent’s more vulnerable citizens. The regeneration project will link to Kent key construction companies.

 

 

Associate risks are set out in the paper intended to support the Cabinet Member in taking this decision.

 

Decision:

As Cabinet Member for Business Strategy, Performance and Health Reform, I agree that authority be delegated to the Director of Property Infrastructure and Support in consultation with me, to sign any necessary legal documents, based on the attached final head of terms, with Swale Borough Council and the Spirit of Sittingbourne Development Company on behalf of KCC to facilitate the transfer of KCC land to Swale BC.
