To extend the current contract with Kent Community Health Trust (KCHT) for three months to deliver Community Sexual Health Services in East Kent from 1st May 2015 to 31st July 2015.
The contract extension will enable KCHT to continue to deliver community sexual health services in East Kent through the existing contract whilst managing the transition to the new sexual health services contract by 1st August 2015.
The decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives and will support corporate objectives by ensuring continued provision of a safe and effective community sexual health service through a contract that offers improved efficiency and better value for money for the County Council.
Financial Implications: Up to £1,509,819 over three month contract period.
Legal Implications: The contract extension will enable a managed transition to a new contract which has been awarded following a competitive tendering process conducted in line with relevant procurement regulations.
