Decision details

As Cabinet Member for Education and Health Reform I:

a)    Agree, subject to Ministerial approval, to allocate 50% of the total cost of the capital build project (estimated to be £10m), from the Education and Young People’s Services Capital Budget, to fund any necessary additional works or variation to accommodation.

b)    Authorise the Director of Property and Infrastructure Support in consultation with the Director of Law and Governance to enter into any necessary contracts/ agreements on behalf of the County Council with the Education Funding Agency.

c)    Authorise the Director of Property and Infrastructure Support to be the nominated Authority Representative within the relevant agreements and to enter into variations as envisaged under the contracts.

As Cabinet Member for Education and Health Reform I agree to:

Dependent on the final decision by the Governing Body, the Education and Young People’s Services Cabinet Committee is asked to consider and endorse or make recommendations to the Cabinet Member for Education and Health Reform on the decision to:

a.       Allocate £2.5m from the Education and Young People’s Services Capital Budget, to fund any necessary additional works or variations to accommodation.

b.       Authorise the Director of Property and Infrastructure Support in consultation with the Director of Law and Governance to enter into any necessary contracts/ agreements on behalf of the County Council.

c.       Authorise the Director of Property and Infrastructure Support to be the nominated Authority Representative within the relevant agreements and to enter into variations as envisaged under the contracts.

This decision is subject to planning permission being granted.
