Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health
Decision status: For Determination
Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Proposed decisions: To extend the existing contracts for Health Visiting, School Public Health and Young Healthy Minds services, as set out below, allowing for the development of transformative service models, prior to the competitive tendering of a new model.
*NOTE: these contracts will be extended separately and will have different end dates, as follows:
· School Public Health and Young Healthy Minds – extend to 31 March 2017 (16/00038a)
· Health Visitor Service – extend to 31 May 2018 (16/00038b)
In line with the Council’s Strategic Framework, extending the existing contracts will allow for a focus on outcomes, whilst developing new services that will be based around the needs of the people of Kent.
Legal Implications: The decisions will require a single source tender to extend the existing contracts to the respective dates set out above.
Equality Implications: None.
The matter is referred to in the Business Plan/Medium Term Capital Programme.
