Purpose:

To award the contract for works relating to the amalgamation of Kingsmead School and Diocese Payne Smith CE School on the existing Kingsmead site, in order that work can begin in January 2013.

Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Corporate and Democratic Services has agreed to enter into a contract for the refurbishment works to the existing Kingsmead building, the installation of new modular foundation class and reception buildings and the installation of temporary mobiles to allow both schools to operate on one site.
