Decision: To extend the current contracts for Tier 1 and Tier 2 weight management services until 31^st January 2016 (including the contract with Kent Community Health NHS Trust (KCHT) to deliver the Healthy Weight service until 31^st  January 2016) pending competitive tender of the Healthy Weight Service in summer 2015.

How the decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives: In line with Facing the Challenge principles, extending the existing contracts will allow for a focus on outcomes, whilst allowing a consultation exercise to be carried out with all stakeholders. This consultation will then help to shape the future service specification

Financial Implications: Up to £2,000,000 (if the providers meet all of their targets).

Legal Implications: The decision will require a single source tender to extend the existing contract to 31^st January 2016.
