Issue - meetings

(1)       Miss S J Carey advised the Panel that her name was included as a nominee for The Churchill School under Shepway 1 Cluster on page B1.9 of the nominations for consideration.  The Panel agreed that Miss S J Carey be appointed as a Governor for The Churchill School.

(2)       The Panel decided to defer consideration of the nomination of Mr Matthews for appointment to Pent Valley Technology College until a letter of declaration was received confirming that he would not take part in staffing issues.

(3)       Miss S J Carey advised the Panel that Sellindge Primary School had been trying to nominate someone to fill the vacancy but Mr A McKinley reported that the school thought it had its full compliment.  Miss Carey suggested that a Mr K Lohse would be willing to fill the vacancy.  Mr McKinley agreed to send a form to Mr Lohse.

(4)       The Panel decided to defer consideration of Mr B Birleson’s application as a Local Authority Governor at Hextable Primary School until the next meeting as Mr Birleson was in the process of applying for an employed post at the school.

(5)       RESOLVED that the appointments of Local Education Authority Governors in Primary, Secondary and Special Schools be agreed as set out in the Appendix to these Minutes.
