(1)   This report detailed the results of the public consultation on a proposal to expand Aldington Primary School from 140 to 210 places, and sought the views of the Advisory Board on the issuing of a public notice.

 

(2)   It was reported to the Advisory Board that the local County Member Mr Andrew Wickham was unable to attend the meeting but had indicated his support of the expansion as detailed in the report.

 

(3)   The Advisory Board expressed the view that the proposal should proceed and that a public notice should be issued.

 

(4)  RESOLVED that endorsement be given to the issuing of a public notice in respect of the proposal to expand Aldington Primary School from 140 to 210 places.

(Mr David Adams made a personal declaration of interest in this matter as he has children attending this school. He stated he had not therefore had any involvement in this proposal which had been dealt with by Mr Simon Webb the Area Education Officer for West Kent)

 

(1)   This report detailed the results of the public consultation on the proposal to expand Challock Primary School from 140 to 210 places, and sought the views of the Advisory Board on the issuing of a public notice.

 

(2)   During the course of discussion members of the Advisory Board raised a number of points of detail to which Mr Webb replied as appropriate. Following this the Advisory Board expressed the view that the proposal should proceed and that a public notice should be issued.

 

(3)   RESOLVED that endorsement be given to the issuing of a public notice in respect of the proposal to expand Challock Primary School from 140 to 210 places.

(1)   This report provided the background to a recommendation to modify the status of the proposed primary school at Repton Park (Ashford) from Trust to Foundation.

 

(2) RESOLVED that endorsement be given to the proposal to change the status of the proposed primary school at Repton Park from Trust to Foundation, as detailed in the report.
