Election of Chairman

Minutes:

(1)       Miss S J Carey moved, seconded by Mr R J Parry that Mr D L Brazier be elected Chairman of the Panel.

                                    Carried Unanimously

 

(2)       Mr D L Brazier thereupon took the Chair.

6.

Membership

CONSERVATIVE: Mr D L Brazier, Miss S J Carey, Mrs V J Dagger, Mr R Tolputt, Mrs E M Tweed.

 

LIBERAL DEMOCRAT: Mr M J Vye.

The Panel noted its membership as set out in the agenda papers, subject to Mr R J Parry serving on the Committee in place of Mrs E M Tweed.

(1)       The Panel endorsed the decision taken by the Head of School Governance in consultation with the Chairman to appoint Dr A Ellis and Mr R Pickup from the pool of Additional Governors to the Governing Body of Charing CEP School.

 

(2)       The Panel noted that a report would be presented to its next meeting on the implications of the Government White Paper “Your Children, your schools, our future: building a 21st century schools system.”

 

(3)       RESOLVED that the appointments of Local Authority Governors in Primary, Secondary, Special Schools and Pupil Referral Units be agreed as set out in the Appendix to these Minutes.
