RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meetings held on 27 June 2014 and on 3 September 2014 are correctly recorded and that they be signed by the Chairman.

(1)       The Panel agreed to accept three late nominations.  These were for Mr Graham Birrell at the proposed Federation of Goodnestone and Nonington CE Primary Schools, Mr John Hoadly at Ulcombe CE Primary School and Mrs Susannah Wood at Offham Primary School.  All three nominations were accepted.                  

(2)       Members of the Panel noted that the number of nominations coming forward was considerably lower than was normally the case, and that this trend was likely to continue.  On this particular occasion, no one who had been nominated had given any grounds for the Panel to decide whether there were grounds to make an exception.  The Panel therefore asked for a report at its next meeting setting out ways in which the appointments process could be made more efficient and not require Panel Members to travel to County Hall from different parts of the County unnecessarily.

(3)       RESOLVED that the appointments of Authority Governors to Primary, Secondary, Special Schools, Pupil Referral Units, the Pool of Additional Governors and nominations to non-Authority Academies be agreed as set out in the Appendix to these Minutes.
