Agenda and minutes

RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting held on 7 December 2007 are correctly recorded and that they be signed by the Chairman.

(1)       The Panel agreed to accept the late nominations of Mrs J Warren (Rolvenden Primary School), Mr G Hutchison (Aycliffe Community Primary School), Mrs H Rahman (Cecil Road Peimary and Nursery School), Mr P Monk (Cheriton Primary School), Ms J Holben (Sandgate Primary School), and Captain L E R Belcourt and Mr A W Smith (Foxwood School).

(2)       The Panel agreed to the appointment of Dr A Norley as an Additional Governor.

(3)       The Panel decided by 3 votes to 2 to appoint Mr P Monk to the Governing Body of Cherition Primary School in preference to Mrs B Rolfe.

(4)       The Panel decided by 3 votes to 2 to appoint Ms J Holben to the Governing Body of Sandgate Primary School in preference to Mr A Dunning.

(5)       The Panel decided to appoint Captain L E R Belcourt and Mr A W Smith to the Governing Body of Foxwood School in preference to Mr D Briddock and Dr L Farebrother. Captain Belcourt and Mr Smith each received 3 votes.  Mr Briddock and Dr Farebrother received 2 votes.

(6)       RESOLVED that the appointments of Local Education Authority Governors in Primary, Secondary and Special Schools be agreed as set out in the Appendix to these Minutes.
