Agenda and minutes

(1)  Miss S J Carey moved, seconded by Mr M J Vye that Mr R Tolputt be elected Chairman for the meeting.

                                                Motion carried

(2)       Mr Tolputt thereupon took the Chair.          

RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting held on 28 September 2007 are correctly recorded and that they be signed by the Chairman.

(1)       The Panel agreed to the appointment of Mr N Matthews to the Governing Body of Pent Valley Technology College following receipt of the latter’s confirmation that he would withdraw from any Governing Body or Committee meetings where his son’s employment at the School was discussed.

(2)       The Panel agreed to the appointment of Ms E Poole to the Governing Body of Laleham Gap School by 3 votes to 1.

(3)       The Panel considered a late request to appoint Ms S Duckworth to the Governing Body of Pembury Primary School.  The Panel decided on the Chairman’s casting vote (following a tie of 2 votes to 2) not to appoint her to this position.

(4)       The Panel decided to appoint Mr S Grant to the Governing Body of St Stephen’s Junior School in preference to Dr C Farthing
