Member Highway Fund Minutes: Ideas for spending included:
- Essella Road: reduce speed limit to 20 mph
- Canterbury Road: new crossing needed
- Kennington Road: path near Julie Rose to be completed
- Canterbury Road: problems of potholes and overhanging hedging near the cemetery
- Canterbury Road: need to create one-way system up to Shell garage and down Magazine Road
Other road issues: Parents parking and dropping off pupils at Kennington Junior School which causes chaotic congestion
Also there will be the same problems in Hurst Road with the proposed new school which should be addressed as soon as possible.
Agreed to look at the above and ask Jennie Wickenden from Highways to report back. |
