1. Mr Wayne Chapman proposed, and Mrs Pamela Williams seconded that Mr Jeremy Eustace be elected as Chairman of the County Council.

2. Mr Paul Thomas proposed, and Mr Harry Rayner seconded that Mrs Sarah Hudson be elected as Chairman of the County Council.

3. The Chairman put the motion set out in paragraph 2 to the vote and the voting was as follows.

5. Mr Eustace made his Declaration of Acceptance of Office, and Mr Palmer invested Mr Eustace with the Badge of Office.

6. Mr Eustace paid tribute to Mr Palmer and the Vice-Chairman Mr Evans, reflected on his personal connection to Kent and set out his commitment to chairing meetings with fairness and openness to robust debate.

7. Mr Palmer expressed his thanks to Council officers, for their support and assistance during his term of office.

RESOLVED that Mr Eustace be elected as Chairman of the County Council.
