This short section of the street has 17 businesses, a community centre and two schools—Ramsgate Arts Primary School and Small Haven School. Facilities include a pub, GP surgery, pharmacy, shops and a busy fish-and-chip restaurant, attracting pedestrians throughout the day.
Some vehicles travel very fast, making crossing difficult, particularly for children, older people and people with mobility difficulties. We ask KCC to review traffic speeds and pedestrian safety. If a 20 mph limit already applies to any part, please assess clearer signs and measures to improve compliance.
