Students of Dane Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School, Upton Junior School and Bromstone School frequently travel along busy routes with speeding vehicles and difficult road junctions. These have very limited crossing points, particularly when School Crossing Patrol Officers are not in operation, and there is significant congestion outside the schools. We would like things changed before a more serious accident occurs and wish the Council to look at speed restrictions, improvements to road markings and signage outside these schools, as well as more parking restrictions. We would like the area of Broadstairs Road, Fairfield Road, Green Lane, Pysons Road and Rumfields Road to be improved to make things safer for students and residents to cross these roads safely.
