Deal Parochial School's Removal of Access to grounds

We the undersigned petition the council to Challenge Deal Parochial Primary School's decision to remove access to the rugby club to train on Sundays in the school grounds.

Deal Parochial School has sent a letter to the Chairman of the rugby club, Ted Schofield informing him that access to the school ground will be withdrawn with effect from Friday 22nd May 2015. They are suggesting that the new National Curriculum is to blame as they are to develop these areas of the school grounds. Which is in complete contradiction to a 2015 Government policy, which can be viewed on the gov.uk website by using the following link:

The junior section of the rugby club has an estimated 100 children. In today's world of Obesity, this is a serious concern. The rugby club has two main pitches, but with a junior section made up of 6 to 17 year old's, their simply won't be enough ground for the juniors to train and play matches on, both of which take place on a Sunday when the school isn't using the ground.

The rugby club is central to the local community and is also a safe environment for children to go. Rugby's core values of Team Work, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship is the backbone of the rugby club and without junior members, the club won't be able to survive.
