This would be supportive to a child's mental health and could
actually save the Council money and is a better use of funding vs
paying for an empty classroom space. Some SEN schools will charge
huge amount of funding and the child could be supported better with
a bespoke package and in an environment they are more likely to
progress.
It would also free up a space that could go to another SEN child
and save costs on keeping children more local vs sending them to
another county via taxi.
