More Suitable Short Breaks for disabled Children & Their Families

We the undersigned petition the council to provide more suitable short breaks for our children and families. Use focus groups and consultations. Involve parents of all SEN children. Ask actual parents about their needs rather than other groups who only talk to their mailing list.

Having a disabled child is one of the most emotional, isolating and exhausting experiences. Parents would like to be consulted properly.

On reaching 10000 signatures a full council debate will be held. If the petition achieves between 2500 and 9999 signatures it will be referred to the appropriate Cabinet Committee.
