Aylesham Secondary School

We the undersigned petition the council to Build a Secondary School in Aylesham

The population of Aylesham is currently 5000 and since the Secondary School closed 25 years ago 400 or so pupils aged 12 - 18 have had to travel to the local towns to school every year.

1200 more houses are being built in the village and the population will soon be 8,000 people.

By then the village will have 650 pupils of Secondary School age.

It is high time the village had its provision for Secondary School Education restored.

Sandwich, by way of comparison, has a similar population (5000), and has two Secondary Schools.
