Goat Lees Primary School, Kennington, Ashford - 12/01914

Approval to proceed with design & development and to enter into contract with building contractor to deliver the 1FE Goat Lees Primary School. The School includes for hard and landscaping to provide sports pitches and Multi Use Games Area to enhance sporting facilities.

The decision is needed which directly supports 3 of the Bold Steps for Kent. Firstly it references the target that all pupils meet their full potential. Secondly, it promotes the delivery of ‘Kent Environment Strategy’ and thirdly Kent’s cultural and sporting offer for residents.

Impact/costs and risks of proposed decision

The impact of the decision is that the project will be able to proceed to tender stage and enter into contractual arrangements to achieve targeted completion of August 2013. The value of the project is estimated at £3.9m.
