Consultation on the change to a two-tier system of education was carried out by KCC.  Cabinet approval given 10 Jan 2007.  Public Consultation on Academy proposal was carried out by consultants as required by DCSF.  A report went to SOB on 16 May 2007 on the outcome of the public consultation.  A public Notice for the primary phase was issued on 6 Sep 2007.  The DCSF have now stated that the Public Notice must include all schools whose pupils will make up the Academy and it must therefore include the proposal to discontinue Danley Middle School
