To agree seek agreement to the necessary steps required to expand Repton Manor Primary School
The project is in line with Kent strategies and in particular supports the following;

9. Support new housing growth that is affordable, sustainable and with the appropriate infrastructure
The Commissioning Plan
One of the key strategic roles of the Local Authority is to ensure there are sufficient education places of high quality available to the children and young people of Kent. This responsibility is intertwined with our other strategic duties; to promote high standards in schools, and to be the champion of children, families and their communities. The new Commissioning Plan will set out how Kent will discharge its responsibility as the Strategic Commissioner of education provision
These proposals are incorporated in the 'Commissioning Plan for Education – Kent'.
Impact/costs and risks of proposed decision
.The costs for the expansion of Repton Manor to 2fe have already been allocated from the Capital budget. If the proposal does not go ahead there will be a shortfall of Year R places in Ashford from September 2013.
