To delegate to the Director of Property & Infrastructure Support the authority to establish of a framework for external advice and services associated with the consultancy advice for capital projects. .
How the decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives:
The decision will provide a platform to deliver a wide range of Capital Programme developments across the property estate effectively from the Framework, offering best value solutions to procure refurbished, rebuilt and new buildings in the County. The Consultants’ Framework will comprise specialists in the disciplines required to develop new buildings from brief, through feasibility and delivery in compliance with KCC aspirations of best value, good practice, sustainability, and opportunities for local communities.
P&IS will be able to build strong relationships with Framework Consultants to offer added value in terms of ‘upskilling’ opportunities such as apprenticeships, work-experience offers, and pupil engagement.
