How the decision  relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives

The decision is needed which directly supports 3 of the Bold Steps for Kent.  Firstly it references the target that all pupils meet their full potential.  Secondly, it promotes the delivery of ‘Kent Environment Strategy’ and thirdly Kent’s cultural and sporting offer for residents.

Impact/costs and risks of proposed decision

Currently the School lease a playing field which is due to expire in 2013.   The impact of the decision is that the project will be able to proceed to tender stage ensuring completion of work by end of 2012 and allowing a ‘resting’ period of the sports pitch prior to its use.  The value of the project is around £250k.
