12/02000 - Harrietsham CE Primary School

To seek approval of the expansion of Harrietsham Primary School by the necessary statutory process including the issue a public notices to expand Harrietsham CEPS and subject to no objections being received to the public notice to expand the school

 

Should further representations be received within the public notice period a further cabinet Member decision will be sought before any expansion is progressed.

This proposal directly supports priorities 3, 4 and 9 of Bold Steps for Kent

 

Financial Implications:

The cost of expanding Harrietsham CE Primary School to 1FE is £377k

 

Legal Implications:

These will be outlined in the report to Education Cabinet Committee in January 2013

A report has been considered by the Education Cabinet Committee on 21 November 2012. 

 

A further report outlining the consultation outcomes will be presented to committee on 19 March 2013

 

A public consultation will be conducted between the 8 January 2013 to 15 February 2013 and will particularly target the views of the local MP, Local Members, Local Council, Schools, Pre-schools, Parents, Staff, Governors, Pupils, Professional Associations, Diocesan Boards of Education, Local Childrens Trust Board, Parish/Town Council, DfE.
