13/00008 (c) - Proposed Expansion of Ospringe Primary School, Faversham

UPDATE: Relevant planning permission was not granted and as such the expansion is no longer feasible.  The Cabinet Member proposes to withdraw the decision and to endorse the issue of a revocation notice by officers to release the council from its obligations.  KCC will seek alternative expansion options in Faversham

To agree to issue a public notice to expand Ospringe CE Voluntary Primary School, Faversham and, subject to no objections being received to the public notice expand the school.

Should objections be received during the notice period a separate decision will be required in order to continue the proposal and expand the school.

No Cabinet Committee report will be considered prior to decision 13/0008 (b) being taken as it is not reasonable to defer the decision until July when the Cabinet Committee is next due to meet.  All members will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed withdrawal of the decision and issue of revocation notice prior to the decision being taken by the Cabinet Member.


A retrospective report will be taken to the Cabinet Committee in July confirming actions taken.
