To seek approval of the adoption of the Kent Downs & the High Weald AONB Management Plan revisions.
The Kent Downs AONB and the High Weald AONB Management Plans both support Bold Steps for Kent by helping to achieve a sustainable rural economy, supporting (through education, access and experiences) both visitors and residents alike and using the landscape to help to tackle disadvantage in rural Kent. Raising funds through grant applications brings money into the region, enabling demonstration projects across much of rural Kent.

Consultees
The management plan revisions were presented
to EHW Cabinet Committee on 3rd October 2013. The revisions
received supporting comments and the committee endorsed the revised
Plans.
Other consultation planned or undertaken:
Each AONB Unit carried out detailed discussions (expert debates and
Officer Steering Group Meetings), followed by formal public
consultations. The KCC Landscape Officer attended discussions with
each AONB to contribute to amendments. The Officer then carried out
an internal consultation with relevant services within KCC. The
results of this consultation were then compiled and shared with
each AONB Unit.
The decision affects the whole County with the exception of all
electoral divisions within Dartford Borough & Thanet District
administrative areas.
