Gatland House - Disposal

To obtain approval for the Director of Property and Infrastructure Support to progress with and enter into the necessary documentation to complete the disposal of the property in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Corporate and Democratic Services.

This decision relates to the Bold Steps for Kent in securing a capital receipt to fund the capital programme and to streamline the Council’s property portfolio in order to achieve financial and efficiency benefits in line with the appropriate property policy.

The impact of the decision will be that the receipt will be achieved as quickly as possible to ensure that the capital programme is delivered and minimise holding costs.  Without the decision, KCC will be unable to respond to offers in a timely fashion without losing the prospective purchaser.  This will affect the delivery of the capital programme and will increase holding costs.
