    Community Sexual Health Services

    To extend the current contract with Kent Community Health Trust (KCHT) for three months to deliver Community Sexual Health Services in East Kent from 1st May 2015 to 31st July 2015.

     

    The contract extension will enable KCHT to continue to deliver community sexual health services in East Kent through the existing contract whilst managing the transition to the new sexual health services contract by 1st August 2015.

     

    The decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives and will support corporate objectives by ensuring continued provision of a safe and effective community sexual health service through a contract that offers improved efficiency and better value for money for the County Council.

    Financial Implications: Up to £1,509,819 over three month contract period.

    Legal Implications: The contract extension will enable a managed transition to a new contract which has been awarded following a competitive tendering process conducted in line with relevant procurement regulations.

    The Social Care and Public Health Cabinet Committee agreed to support the tendering exercise at its meeting of 4th October 2013. 

    The results of the first tender exercise were discussed by the Adult Social Care and Health Cabinet Committee on 2nd May 2014.

    The Cabinet Committee endorsed the proposed contract award at its meeting on 4th December 2014 and will discuss the proposed contract extension at its meeting on 3rd March 2015.
