Following the formation of the Education and Young People’s directorate, incorporating Early Help and Preventative Services, a number of new services were brought together, all bringing their own business systems into the directorate, with the result that there are a range of system contract and administration arrangements, and duplication across systems leading to data quality concerns, problems with reporting, and lack of efficiency.
All main systems are out of contract, which means KCC could be subject to legal challenge.
The key objectives of the project are to:
· Ensure business systems are all contract and legally compliant
· Reduce the number of ICT systems and spreadsheets used within EYPS
· Reduce the costs associated with running those systems
· Reduce inefficiencies associated with operating numerous systems
