Local Growth Fund Round 3 Bid Submission

Financial & Legal Implications: The Service Level Agreement between the South East LEP/Essex County Council and Kent County Council will be updated to include any projects selected by the Government to receive LGF3 funding.

Equality Implications:An EQIA will be carried out on the bid submission.

In the first tranche of Local Growth Funding (LGF1), which was announced in the summer 2014, schemes in Kent and Medway were awarded £133 million. In the second LGF round, announced in January 2015, an additional £19.51 million was allocated to projects in Kent and Medway. Information on both awards were reported to the appropriate Cabinet Committee.

This is dependent on Central Government’s selection of the project proposals that will receive funding, however the bid proposals being submitted to Government will cover the breadth of Kent and Medway.
