Disposal of the former Spires Academy site, Bredlands Lane, Westbere, Canterbury CT2 0HD

Approval to the Director of Infrastructure to progress with and enter into the necessary documentation to complete the disposal of the property in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Corporate and Democratic Services. The Decision will seek legal agreements to be actioned to complete the sale of the relevant properties.

Securing a capital receipt to fund the capital programme and to streamline the Council’s property portfolio to achieve financial and efficiency benefits in line with appropriate policy.

Financial Implications: Property holding costs will cease upon sale and capital receipts will be available to support the Council’s Medium Term Capital Programme
