The varying of a contract between the Kent
County Council and Kent Enviropower Ltd for the provision of Waste
Disposal services (“the Allington Contract”) to enable
the following:
• Consolidation of the landfill equivalent payments into the
gate fee, with future indexation for the consolidated sum to be as
per contract (i.e. RPI)
• Reduction of the gate fee for all waste delivered within the
minimum tonnage commitment
• Increasing the minimum tonnage commitment for residual waste
from 300,000 to 310,000 tonnes per annum
• Reducing the minimum tonnage commitment for food waste and
comingled dry recyclate (including glass) to be handled through the
on-site waste transfer from 25,000 to 20,000 tonnes per annum
• Waiving the requirement for a Performance Bond in respect of
this contract
