16/00144 - Young People’s Substance Misuse Services – Contract Extension

Proposed decision: To invoke the nine month contract extension option within the Young People’s Substance Misuse Service contract (provided by Addaction), to enable it to run until 31st December 2017.

 

The decision will support corporate objectives by completing a planned and well-managed competitive tendering of the Young People’s Substance Misuse service. This will ensure services are commissioned in line with identified need to deliver corporate priorities on prevention, improved public health and better value for money.

Financial Implications: The maximum value of the nine month extension period is £620,847.
