Consultees

In April 2016 KCC officers consulted on the expansion of Sellindge Primary School by 0.5FE. The results of the consultation were reported to the Education Cabinet Committee on 1 July 2016. On 6 July 2016 the Cabinet Member agreed to the expansion of Sellindge Primary School by 0.5FE, with effect from 1 September 2018, subject to planning permission being obtained.

The reasons for the delay to the expansion were outlined to the Committee on 13 October 2017.

Financial implications: The costs to this project were fully explained in the report to Cabinet Committee on 13 October 2017.

Legal implications: Any legal implications were explained to Cabinet Committee on 13 October 2017 and will be considered fully prior to the Cabinet Member before taking his decision.

Equalities implications: An Equality Impact Assessment will be produced before the start of the consultation process and has been reviewed in light of the request to delay the expansion. No amendments have been needed. There are forecast to be sufficient primary aged places in the planning area for 2018-19 and 2019-20.
