    Consultees

We will consult with schools individually and with the Schools’ Funding Forum.

The outcome of the consultation was reported to Children’s, Young People and Education Cabinet Committee on 29 November 2018.

Financial implications: The costs associated with both proposals would be fully met from the Dedicated Schools Grant and will not be a cost to Council funding.

Legal implications: We are committed to achieving the Strategic outcome: Children and Young People in Kent get the best start in life. We need to ensure that there is adequate resources to provide for our most vulnerable SEND children and young people. This growing cohort needs appropriate, additional support to meet their particular high and complex needs. This transfer of resources will enable us to support schools and parents more effectively, to ensure their children are provided with the very best start in life and are able to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Equalities implications: An EqIA assessment has been undertaken.
