Approval to appoint a Preferred Bidder with a view to finalising the documentation to form a joint venture partnership with the Preferred Bidder called a Local Education Partnership (LEP1) and to award the contract for the first phase of 11 schools (£233 capex value). LEP1 will be granted exclusivity to deliver all BSF rebuild/refurbishment secondary school build projects in Thanet (including Canterbury Coastal), Gravesham and Swale over the next 10 years as well as the provision of an ICT managed service. The overall capital value of the works in LEP1 is estimated to be in excess of £500 million.
