Decision: To extend the current contracts for Tier 1 and Tier 2 weight management services until 31st January 2016 (including the contract with Kent Community Health NHS Trust (KCHT) to deliver the Healthy Weight service until 31st January 2016) pending competitive tender of the Healthy Weight Service in summer 2015.
How the decision relates to BS4K and Corporate Objectives: In line with Facing the Challenge principles, extending the existing contracts will allow for a focus on outcomes, whilst allowing a consultation exercise to be carried out with all stakeholders. This consultation will then help to shape the future service specification
Financial Implications: Up to £2,000,000 (if the providers meet all of their targets).
